The 24-year-old participated in 70 total outings in 2023-24, the most he has ever played as a pro. While his female drama, as is always the case with him, obviously took some shine off his brand, the fact that he played in so many of the Pelicans’ games was a welcome sight.
Coming into the offseason, many wondered how Williamson would react to last year’s run. Would he double down and get in better shape, or would he go back to some of his old bad habits.
On Saturday, an answer emerged.
New photos show that Williamson is currently in the best shape of his life. It led to many wondering if he is currently on the weight loss drug Ozempic.

The Pelicans have invested a lot in Williamson. They did so under the belief that he could be the franchise player that they desperately need him to be.
Thus far – Williamson hasn’t delivered on the potential so many folks thought he had coming into the league.
That said, he is still just 24 years old. And if he can stay in the sort of shape he is in now, he could be a force in the NBA. What version of Williamson will ultimately show up when the 2024-25 NBA season tips off? Time will tell.
