Kevin Durant and Anthony Edwards were two of the biggest stars at the 2024 Paris Olympics for Team USA. While the latter obviously didn’t play as huge of a role in the American side’s gold medal win as the former, this year’s Games were all about grooming him for future Olympics.
As a result, many of Team USA’s top stars developed a really close relationship with Edwards over the last few months.
his past week, Durant spoke out about Edwards.
In the process, he revealed the special nickname he had developed for his young teammate.
“Man, I call him the baby GOAT,” Durant said of Edwards at the 2024 Fanatics Fest in New York City. “You know what I mean.”
That is lofty praise.
His love for Edwards notwithstanding, if it feels like Durant has been in the headlines nonstop as of late, it’s because he definitely has been. Just last week he debuted his new girlfriends to the world.
This week he is hyping up Edwards.
